The Mission of Taconic Valley Youth Basketball shall be to:

Strive to be an outstanding and premier educational-athletic organization, for the residents in the Berlin Central School District, that provides a high-quality experience to every athlete.  A high-quality experience is one in which Taconic Valley Youth Basketball:

• Encourages as many youths as possible who reside in the Berlin Central School District to participate in youth basketball.

• Promotes and sponsors organized, recreational basketball programs for the youth.

• Develops each player’s character by teaching the value of good sportsmanship, discipline, physical fitness, and leadership through the game of basketball.

• Develops each player’s passion for the game of basketball by teaching the fundamentals of the sport while instilling core values.

• Enhances the skills of each player with the goal and vision of having players ready to play at competitive middle school levels.

• Continually works to strengthen programs and safety through study, research and development.

• Provide every coach with the tools to succeed.
